Actor Comp

A comp card is a marketing tool used by actors to promote themselves to agents and agent's clients. It serves as the actors portfolio and business card. Even though in the past actors were only required to have a headshot and resume, it has become common to also have a comp card especially if your looking for modeling jobs where comp cards are a requisite. Every actor should have a current comp card that showcases their talents.

A comp card should have a minimum of two pictures, but usually has five. The front page is a full-size headshot and the second page has a variation of portfolio pictures. The above example has one headshot and three additional pictures on the back. Actors should use lifestyle portfolio photos which shows the actor in a role giving agents a visual of them cast in similar roles.
