Kids Comp

A comp card is a marketing tool used by models and actors to promote themselves to agents and agent's clients in order to get work.  It's a model/actor's business card.  Most kids or young teens have little to no experience.  Since there's a lack of experience, agents will usually base their initial decision on the comp card they receive.  This will be the child's chance to give a great first impression and will determine if he/she gets a call back.  To increase your chances of getting a call back, make sure you have a good composite card.

A comp card should have a minimum of two pictures, but usually has five.  One photo in front and 4 smaller ones in the back.  The front page is a full-size headshot and the second page has a variation of portfolio pictures.  The above example has one headshot and three additional pictures.  Models should use editorial and lifestyle portfolio photos because it shows the model's versatility, which gives agents a visual of how the child/teen models and the acting role they can be placed in.  If you already have an agent, speak to them first to find out what type of photos they are looking for and then call us to schedule your shoot.
